موضوع هذه الدراسة هو الافتراض المُسبَّق التداوليّ في مسرح شوقي ، ويعد الافتراض المسبق أحد مباحث التداولية ، ويترکز مفهومه في أن المتکلم يوجه حديثه إلى المخاطب على أساس مما يفترض سلفًا أنه معلوم له ، أو أننا لا نستطيع التصريح بکل ما نريد التعبير عنه ، فهو من المُضمَر أي المعلومات المدسوسة خِفْية ، تدل عليه ألفاظ ، وعبارات ، وتراکيب ، ويمکن الوصول إليه ببعض الاختبارات اللغوية ، يتطلب خلفية تواصلية بين أطراف الخطاب ، ويُناط المتلقي بالتأويل معتمدًا على ما يمتلکه من کفاءات ، لا يُعدّ الافتراض إعلامًا ولا يأتي بجديد لأنه مُضَّمن في بنية القول . ناقشت الدراسة المصطلح والمفهوم ثم عرضت للأنواع الخمسة للافتراض.

Abstract :
The subject of this study is the presupposition in shawky's plays. the Presupposition is considered one of pragmatic researches . Its concept is concentrated in that the speaker directs his talk to the addressee on the basis that the addressee knows that , or we can't mention everything we want to express . This is from implicit or the hidden information which can be expressed through words , phrases and structures . We can also reach it through some lingual tests .It requires a communicative background between the parties to the discourse . The addressee is supposed to interpretation depending on the potentials he has . This isn't informing and doesn't present anything new because it's included in the saying structure . The study discussed the term and concept, then presented the five types of presupposition.
