تيبن من دراسة مرکزية عقد الشبکة وفق مؤشر کوينج أن عقدة مدينة الرياض هي العقدة المرکزية الأولي للطرق، کما أظهرت الدراسة أيضاً هامشية عقدة العمدان لموقعها المتطرف بالنسبة لعقد الشبکة .
إستنتج من مصفوفات إمکانية الوصول بين عقد النقل- المتمثلة في المحلات العمرانية بالمرکز- أن مدينة الرياض هي العقدة الأکثر مرکزية، نظراً لتوسط موقعها الجغرافي بين المحلات العمرانية بالمرکز، وبالتالي کانت أنسب عقد النقل بالمرکز لإقامة المشروعات الخدمية والتنموية.
