يتسم مرکز أجا بنشاطه الزراعي؛ ويرجع ذلک إلى خصوبة أراضيه واتساع مساحة الأراضي الزراعية به حيث تبلغ المساحة الزراعية به 73,8% من جملة مساحة المرکز، ويُقدر حجم القوي العاملة الزراعية به حوالي 30 ألف عامل لعام 2017، يمثلون 23,4% من حجم القوي العاملة به للعام ذاته.
ويتناول البحث دراسة حجم العاملين بالأنشطة الأولية (العمال الزراعيين) نمواً وتوزيعاً وخصائصاً، ونظراً لتراجع عدد العاملين بالأنشطة الأولية في الفترة الأخيرة تم تصميم استمارة استبيان بعنوان القوي العاملة الزراعية في مرکز أجا لتلافي النقص في البيانات ولدراسة العوامل المؤثرة في تغير قطاع الأنشطة الأولية.
The Aja Center is characterized by its agricultural activity; This is due to the fertility of its lands and the expansion of the agricultural land area, where the agricultural area is 73.8% of the total area of the center, and the size of the agricultural workforce is estimated at about 30,000 workers for the year 2017, representing 23.4% of the size of the workforce for the same year.
The research deals with the study of the size of workers in primary activities (agricultural workers), growth, distribution, and characteristics, and due to the decline in the number of workers in primary activities in the recent period, a questionnaire was designed entitled Agricultural Workforce in the Aja Center to avoid the shortage of data and to study the factors affecting the change of the primary activities sector.
