Abstract
Norberto Bobbio is one of the most prominent Italian political and legal thinkers of the twentieth century, This research revolves around a major problem: What does Norberto Bobbio mean by procedural democracy, and how does it depend primarily on the conciliatory attempt that he established on a set of binaries that are linked to it to make it a real, tangible presence on the ground?, To address this problem, several questions are asked, the most important of which is What was the concept that Bobbio presented of procedural democracy? What were the reasons that prompted him to link democracy with the rule of law? What are the limits of the relationship that he established between democracy, liberalism and socialism? How did Bobbio link democracy and civil society? What is the future of democracy, and will it be destined for progress, or retreat and failure?.
