التركيب الشرطي تركيب يتكون من جملتين تربطهما أداة من أدوات الشرط المعهودة، فتصبح الثانية متعلقة بالأولى.
"وقد يتلاءم معنى الجزاء في أغلي معانيه، لكن الأكثر قبولا وملاءمة أن يفهم منه تعليق جملتين حدثيتين ببعضهما، وترتب الثانية على ما تلي أداة الشرط ترتيبا زمنيا" ( ).
