This research attempts to provide a theoretical analysis of the dimensions and importance of social communication. Social communication is one of the most important contemporary topics in the field of humanities and social sciences. Because it means the relationship of people with each other and how communication occurs between them, and social communication in general transfers culture and knowledge of its various types from one form to another or from one culture to another or from one point to another through time.

In terms of language: verbal communication and non-verbal communication.
In terms of the size of the participants: self-communication, personal communication, collective
يحاول هذا البحث تقديم تحليل نظري لأبعاد التواصل الاجتماعي وأهميته، فالتواصل الاجتماعي من أهم المواضيع المعاصرة في مجال العلوم الإنسانية والاجتماعية؛ لأنه يعني بعلاقة الناس مع بعضهم البعض وكيفية حدوث التواصل بينهم، ويقوم التواصل الاجتماعي بوجه عام بنقل الثقافة والمعرفة بأنواعها المختلفة من شكل إلى أخر أو من ثقافة إلى أخرى أو من نقطة إلى أخري عبر الزمن.
ويعد الاتصال ركنًا هامًا في حياتنا اليومية فنحن نتبادل المعلومات والبيانات، فمن السؤال عن الأحوال الي تبادل المشاعر ونقل الأفكار، واستعراض الأخبار وتناقل وجهات النظر وتوفير المعلومات، والتواصل الاجتماعي له أهميته الكبيرة في حياة الفرد، حيث لا يتسني للفرد أن يكون متمتعًا بالصحة النفسية ما لم يكون ذا قدرة على التواصل بفعالية مع ذاته، وأفراد مجتمعه.
