كرسي الأسقف هو الموضع الذي يجلس عليه الأسقف في أثناء تأدية الخدمة الليتورجيه، ومنه يخاطب الشعب ويعلمهم، ويكتمل رسامة الاسقف بتجليسه على كرسيه في ايبارشيته علامة توليه مسؤولية قيادة الشعب وخدمته.
وكان عدد الكراسي قليل مقارنة بأنه تم نقل الكرسي الأسقفي إلى شرق الدلتا في الماضي وظهر منهم ثلاث طرز منهم البسيط ومنهم صاحب الزخرفة القوية
وقد تناول الباحث في هذه المادة الدراسة الوصفية للكرسي وكذلك التحليلية من حيث طريقة الصناعة والزخرفة وكذلك رمزية العناصر الزخرفية.
Summary
The bishop's chair is the place where the bishop sits while performing the liturgical service, and from there he addresses the people and teaches them. The bishop's ordination is completed by him sitting on his chair in his diocese as a sign of his assuming responsibility for leading the people and serving them.
The number of chairs was small compared to the fact that the episcopal chair was moved to the eastern Delta in the past, and three styles appeared, some of them simple and some with strong decoration.
In this article, the researcher dealt with the descriptive and analytical study of the chair in terms of the method of manufacture and decoration, as well as the symbolism of the decorative elements.
