أثر الضمير الأخلاقي على الفرد والمجتمع

ظهر جليا مما سقناه آنفا أثناء البحث وفيما مضى أن الضمير يلعب دورا مهما في حياتنا، فهو ناصح حكيم، وقاض عادل، ومنفذ أمين، ينصح أول الأمر بالخير ويحث عليه، وبالبعد عن الشر ويثبط عنه، وبعد الفعل يحكم لنا بالخيرية والفضيلة، أو علينا بالشرية والرذيلة ،وينفذ أخيرا المثوبة ممثلة في ارتياح النفس وطمأنينتها، أو العقوبة بالتأنيب المُرّ الذي يحُزُّ في القلب حزّا ـ ويُسْلم للندم والتوبة .
وهذا الدور المهم هو ما أنطق(جان جاك روسو) بهذه المقطوعة الرائعة من الشعر المنثور في وصفه للضمير وكان يعتقد أنه قوة من نور الله تعالى :أيها الضمير، أيتها القوة الفطرية الخالدة، أيها الصوت السماوي.
It has become clear from what we have mentioned above during the research and in the past that conscience plays an important role in our lives, as it is a wise advisor, a just judge, and an honest enforcer. It first advises and encourages goodness, and avoids evil and discourages it, and after action it judges us with goodness and virtue, or against us with evil. And vice, and finally achieves the reward represented by the satisfaction and reassurance of the soul, or the punishment with bitter reprimand that grieves the heart - and gives it over to remorse and repentance.
This important role is what Jean-Jacques Rousseau uttered this wonderful piece of prose poetry in his description of conscience. He believed that it was a force from the light of God Almighty: O conscience,
