هناك علاقة وثيقة بين الأدب، والمجتمع، فتنبع هذه الرؤية من المجتمع، والظروف الاجتماعية المحيطة بالكاتب. فُيسلط الضوء على المشكلات التي تدور من حوله، ويحاول أن يُوجد لها حلًا. فالنص الأدبي قائم على المجتمع، والأدب لا يمكن أن ينفصل عن سياقه المجتمعي، فكل نص أدبي ما هو إلا تجربة اجتماعية، صاغها المؤلف من فكرة ما حسب تخيله ليجد لها حلًا ما، أو ليُظهرها للمجتمع.
ونحن لا يمكن لنا أن ندرك الواقع الاجتماعي إلا من خلال "بُعد زماني، ومكاني في إطار اجتماعي، كما أن مضامين الفكر، وأبعاده لا يمكن أن يعرف محتواها إلا إذا استكشفت أغوارها في ضوء الدلائل الاجتماعية التي تسود فيها.
There is a close relationship between literature and society, and this vision stems from society and the social circumstances surrounding the writer. He highlights the problems revolving around him and tries to find a solution to them. The literary text is based on society, and literature cannot be separated from its societal context. Every literary text is nothing but a social experience, formulated by the author from an idea according to his imagination in order to find a solution for it, or to show it to society.
We cannot perceive social reality except through a “temporal and spatial dimension within a social framework,” and the contents of thought and its dimensions cannot be known unless its depths are explored in light of the social evidence that prevails in it.
