يعد الطلاق ظاهرة اجتماعية كغيرها من الظواهر القابلة للحدوث دوما" فطالما هناك زواج فإن احتمالية الطلاق واردكما أن ارتفاع ظاهرة الطلاق في السنوات الأخيرة أدى إلى ظهور العديد من المشكلات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والنفسية يضاف إلى ذألك تأثيره على عدد الأسر ومعدلات الإعالة والأثار السلبية التي تعود على المجتمع وأفراده والتغير المباشر على خصائص السكان واتجاهاتهم وأهدافهم المستقبلية وهذا يتطلب السعي والعمل للتصدي لأسباب الظاهرة وتبعاتها في اَن واحد. تعانى محافظة الغربية من ارتفاع معدلات الطلاق بها حيث احتلت المرتبة السابعة بين محافظات الجمهورية خلال عامي 2017-2006 بحسب النتائج النهائية لتعداد سكان الجمهورية .
Divorce is a social phenomenon like other phenomena that can always occur. As long as there is marriage, the possibility of divorce is possible. Also, the rise in the phenomenon of divorce in recent years has led to the emergence of many social, economic, and psychological problems, in addition to its impact on the number of families, dependency rates, and the negative effects on society and its members. The direct change in the population’s characteristics, trends, and future goals requires effort and work to address the causes and consequences of the phenomenon at the same time. Al-Gharbia Governorate suffers from high divorce rates, as it ranked seventh among the governorates of the Republic during the years 2006-2017, according to the final results of the Republic’s population census.
