Abstract
This research paper delves into the application of the polysystem theory in the process of translating Ahmed Khalid Tawfik’s renowned work, Utopia. The polysystem theory, developed by Itamar Even-Zohar, provides a comprehensive framework for analyzing literary and cultural phenomena within the context of a larger system of texts. By examining the translation of Utopia through the lens of polysystem theory, this paper aims to shed light on the complexities and dynamics that arise during the translation process, particularly in the context of cultural exchange, adaptation, and the reception of literary works. Through a systematic analysis of the source and target texts, as well as the socio-cultural and historical contexts, this paper contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of translation in shaping and reconfiguring literary polysystems.

المستخلص
تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تطبيق نظرية الأنظمة المتعددة على ترجمة العمل الشهير لأحمد خالد توفيق "يوتوبيا". تم تطوير نظرية الأنظمة المتعددة بواسطة إيتامار إيـﭬن زوهار، حيث توفر إطارًا شاملًا لتحليل الظواهر الأدبية والثقافية في سياق نظام أكبر من النصوص. كما يهدف هذا البحث إلى إلقاء الضوء على المشكلات التداخلات التي تنشأ أثناء عملية الترجمة، وذلك بدراسة ترجمة رواية "يوتوبيا" من خلال نظرية الأنظمة المتعددة، لا سيما في توضيح الجانب الثقافي و فهم النص الأدبي. يوضح هذا البحث دور الترجمة في تشكيل النظم الأدبية المتعددة من خلال تحليل منهجي للنصوص الأصلية والمستهدفة، بالإضافة إلى السياقات الإجتماعية والثقافية والتاريخية.
