إن الحواس هي وسيلة الإنسان في التعرف علي الأشياء والموجودات وهي أداة من أدوات الشعراء يتذوقون من خلالها الجمال ويستشعرونه بها فهي " مادة الصورة والمكونة لها فالحواس تلتقط الموضوع الخارجي , وتختزنه في الذهن , ثم تأتي الصورة الفنية , فتستثير بها خيال المتلقي , الذي أختزن الصورالذهنية في ذاكرته
والشاعر " يعمد إلي توظيف الحواس في شعره ليضفي علي عمله الجمال , ويجذب المتلقي إليه , لما يثير مشاعره واحاسيه ويحرك خياله , ليترك أثرا بالغا في نفسيته , يستغل ذلك كله لنقل الأفكار إلي متلقيه , معتمدا علي ثقافته وخياله الذي يمتلكه
The senses are a human being’s means of recognizing things and beings, and they are one of the poets’ tools through which they taste beauty and sense it. They are “the material of the image and its constituent. The senses pick up the external subject and store it in the mind. Then comes the artistic image, stimulating with it the imagination of the recipient, who stores the mental images in the mind.” His memory
The poet “intends to employ the senses in his poetry to give his work beauty, and to attract the recipient to it, because it arouses his feelings and sensations and stimulates his imagination, to leave a profound impact on his psyche. He uses all of that to convey ideas to his recipients, relying on his culture and the imagination that he possesses.
