Analysis of Political Speeches by A Digital Discourse Biden's Election Speech as a Model

Discourse analysis offers a unique opportunity to bring together theory, description, and application in the study of language. The main objective of this study is to investigate the discourse structure and the ideologies in Biden’s speech, to examine the effect of Biden’s speeches to influence and persuade masses and to highlight the role of discursive practices in changing the socio-cultural sphere, The findings of this study reveal that:
- Next, Biden seemed to criticize Trump’s performances in the last four years
- Biden said that protecting and defending America from every attack were his promises. The word protect means “to make sure that something or somebody is not harmed, injured, damaged
- Biden mentioned that the Social Security as a sacred obligation and promise. The word sacred has the definition of “very important and treated with great respect
يقدم تحليل الخطاب فرصة فريدة للجمع بين النظرية والتطبيق في دراسة اللغة. هدفت الرسالة الحالية الي دراسة بنية الخطاب والأيديولوجيات في خطاب الرئيس الامريكي جو بيدن، ودراسة تأثير تلك الخطابات خطابات على الجماهير وإقناعهم، وإبراز دور الممارسات الخطابية في تغيير المجال الاجتماعي والثقافي،
كشفت نتائج الدراسة ما يلي:
- انتقد جو بيدن أداء ترامب في السنوات الأربع الماضية
- أكد جو بيدن علي امن وحماية أمريكا والدفاع عنها من كل هجوم محتمل هو شغله الشاغل وأكد مرارا علي كلمة "حماية" وعدم تعرض شيء أو شخص ما للأذى أو الإصابة أو الضرر.
- وذكر بايدن أن الضمان الاجتماعي التزام ووعد مقدس. كلمة مقدس لها تعريف "مهم جدًا ويتم التعامل معها باحترام كبير".
