Abstract:
A Computational Ontology of Semantic Fields in Sophocles' Ajax: An Applied Study Using Protégé
This study explores the computational ontology of semantic fields in Sophocles' play Ajax, aiming to establish a connection between semantic ontology and computational linguistics to represent meaning within literary texts. It presents an applied analysis utilizing the Protégé platform, demonstrating how semantic fields can be employed to uncover the relationships among various concepts in the play. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the significance of semantic fields in literary analysis and examines different types of semantic relations, such as synonymy, antonymy, and other semantic connections. By integrating modern technological tools for literary text analysis, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of the semantic and psychological dimensions of Ajax and enhances the possibility of computational text processing.
