Function of Implicatures in Walter Dean Myers's Sunrise over Fallujah

In this thesis, the researcher studied the pragmatic implications of the invasion and occupation of Iraq using pragmatic techniques. The researcher applied this approach to one of Walter Dean Myers' novels, Sunrise over Fallujah. The primary objective of this novel was to highlight the linguistic implications and implicit and hidden meanings between the lines, which the author implied rather than explicitly conveyed in his work, the subject of this thesis. This was done to convey the important message that this invasion and occupation were the faults and mistakes of Western European and American governments. In doing so, the researcher demonstrated the linguistic features of these implications, thus revealing the true message, which is that this invasion had no logical basis other than Iraq's
قامت الباحثة في هذه الرسالة بدراسة المضامين التداولية لغزو واحتلال العراق باستخدام الاساليب التداولية في علم التداولية (Pragmatic) وقامت الباحثة بالتطبيق على احدى روايات والتر دين مايرز الا و هي شروق الشمس على الفلوجة وكان الهدف الرئيسي لهذه الرواية هو ابراز المضامين اللغوية والمعاني الضمنية والخفية الموجودة بين السطور والتي اودعها المؤلف في عمله موضوع هذه الرسالة بالتلميح وليس بالتصريح وذلك لإيصال الرسالة العظيمة ان هذا الغزو وهذا الاحتلال كان من سقطات واخطاء الحكومات الغربية الاوربية والامريكية وبذا اظهرت الباحثة السمات اللغوية في هذه المضامين ومن ثم الكشف عن الرسالة الحقيقية والتي تقول الحقيقة الا وهي ان هذا الغزو لم يكن له اساساً منطقياً سوى بترول العراق
