الملخص: مؤشر الضغوط الديموغرافية بدول حوض النيل دراسة في جغرافية السكان والتنمية.
تعاني دول حوض النيل من الضغوط الديمغرافية المستمدة من السكان ومن البيئة المحيطة أيضاً. وتهدف الدراسة الي رصد الاتجاهات الديموغرافية، وتطور مؤشر الضغوط الديموغرافية ومحدداته، كذلك أثر الضغوط الديمغرافية على التنمية بدول حوض النيل. واتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، والمدخل الموضوعي، والمدخل التاريخي، والمدخل الإقليمي، بالإضافة إلى الأسلوب الكارتوجرافي، والأسلوب الإحصائي.
واكدت الدراسة أن الضغوط الديموغرافية تؤثر سلباً على التنمية بدول الحوض، واوصت بضرورة العمل على الحد من الآثار السلبية للضغوط الديمغرافية، وخاصة بدول؛ اثيوبيا، السودان، جنوب السودان، والكونغو.

Abstract: The demographic pressures index in the Nile Basin countries, a study in population Geography and development.
The Nile Basin countries suffer from demographic pressures derived from the population and environment .
The study aims to monitor demographic trends, the development of the demographic pressures indicator and it’s determinants, as well as to study the impact of demographic pressures on the state of development in the Nile Basin countries.
The study followed the descriptive method, the topical approach, the historical approach, and regional approach, the statistical method, and cartography method, in addition to the use of many statistical sources for the study.
The study confirmed that demographic pressures negatively affect on development in the Nile Basin countries, and recommended the necessity of working to reduce the negative effects of demographic pressures, especially; Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, and the Congo.
